If you're interested in more useful ways to repurpose your extra jars, here are some fun and easy craft ideas to inspire you.
For a fun kitchen craft, try making Mason jars into custom spice sprinklers. This works particularly well for salt and pepper, but can also be used for custom spice mixes. For example, make up a jar of your personal grilling spice combination or one of cinnamon and sugar for your coffee.
All you need to do to turn a Mason jar into a spice shaker is to take a screwdriver or nail and hammer several small holes into the metal lid. Make sure to use the proper safety equipment so your DIY experience is as safe as possible.
Soap dispensers are another excellent Mason jar craft that only requires one extra part. You can find simple dispenser pumps for sale at most home goods stores or from online retailers.
